Van Persie is close to securing a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
And according to The Sun, the Dutchman is said to have been forced out by Van Gaal and is furious as a result.
Van Gaal replaced David Moyes as Old Trafford manager in 2014 and Van Persie is said to have played a key role in the appointment.
And while the two appeared to be on good terms during the World Cup in Brazil last year, tensions grew and their relationship is apparently now irreparable.

The United boss expects his players to train as hard as they play, and if they don't, he will not pick them.
Radamel Falcao reportedly didn't work hard enough in training until the later stages of the season.
Van Gaal then favoured the Colombia international ahead of Van Persie causing more problems between the pair.
