Manchester United have sent an Old Trafford official to Southampton in an attempt to seal a deal for Southampton star Morgan Schneiderlin ahead of their pre-season tour.
According to the Daily Mail, the United representative was driven to the south coast on Wednesday to re-open talks with Ronald Koeman's side over a possible deal.
Southampton have already rejected United's £20million opening offer for the France midfielder. Saints are unwilling to entertain bids anything less than their £30m valuation of the midfielder.
Robin van Persie has reportedly agreed a deal to join Fenerbahce.

Sky Sports claim United have agreed to sign the former Arsenal striker in a four-year deal thought to be worth £12m.
Van Persie's future has been in doubt after the Dutch international failed to secure a regular starting place in Louis van Gaal's side.
And Red Devils target Jasper Cillissen insists United have not contacted him about a possible move to Old Trafford.
Cillessen had been touted as a replacement for shot-stopper David De Gea who is expected to join Real Madrid this summer.
