Manchester United dealt huge blow as defender opens talks over new contract
REAL MADRID target Leonardo Bonucci has opened talks with Juventus over a new contract, according to reports.
Sergio Ramos - Spotlight on
The centre-back is wanted by Rafa Benitez as a replacement for unhappy star Sergio Ramos, who wants to join Manchester United.
Bonucci has also emerged as a target for Bayern Munich as Pep Guardiola explores the possibility of playing a three-man defence next season.
However, Italian newspaper Tuttosport claims that Juventus are desperate for the defender to remain in Turin, and have started negotiations over a lucrative contract that would almost double his current annual wage.
The news will come as a major blow for United as Real are reluctant to sell Ramos until they find a suitable replacement.

The Red Devils are also in the market for a new midfielder, but appear to have missed out on Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gundogan after the German signed a new two-year deal.
But a move for Bayern's Bastian Schweinsteiger could materialise after the club revealed the World Cup-winner may leave the Bundesliga this summer.
