Former Manchester United defender Paul McGrath talks Seamus Coleman deal
FORMER Manchester United defender Paul McGrath has hailed reports linking Seamus Coleman with a move to the club.
Seamus Coleman Player Profile
McGrath, who enjoyed a seven-year stint at United in the 1980s, claims Coleman is a 'good fit' and he welcomes a possible summer deal.
He told talkSPORT: "I definitely think he [Coleman] would be a good fit for Manchester United.
"He has got every attribute a right-back wants. He works so hard, is a good defender, and has got an engine like no other.
"I think he would be great for Manchester United and I really hope that is one of the deals that goes through."
Seamus Coleman is a high-priority signing for Louis van Gaal
United have already missed out on a number of full-back targets this summer, with Dani Alves signing a new deal at Barcelona and Nathaniel Clyne set for a move to Liverpool.
So Louis van Gaal will no doubt double his efforts to secure Coleman as he desperately looks to strengthen United's thin back-line.
