Liverpool prepared to sell flop to Premier League club
SUNDERLAND will revive their £4million pursuit of Liverpool flop Sebastian Coates.
Sebastian Coates (left) played 13 games for Sunderland on loan last season
The Black Cats were waiting until the Uruguay international's Copa America campaign - which came to an end earlier this week - was over.
Now that Uruguay have been eliminated from the competition, the Sunderland Chronicle claim Coates will head back to England ahead of a transfer.
Coates, 24, has failed to make an impact at Anfield since his arrival from Uruguayan side Nacional in 2011.
The centre-half played 13 games on loan at Sunderland last season, enough, it seems, for manager Dick Advocaat to make a permanent bid for the player.
Liverpool have already signed a new centre-half in Charlton's Joe Gomez, who agreed a £3.5m move to Anfield earlier this month.
