JESSE LINGARD has opened up on his winning goal in England Under-21s 1-0 win over Sweden.

Lingard's 85th-minute strike gave the Young Lions' European Championship hopes a timely shot in the arm having made hard work of their clash with Sweden.
The Manchester United midfielder, on for the injured Alex Pritchard, claimed all three points in Olomouc with a stunning volley from the edge of the box.
"It came straight into my mind to shoot and luckily it went in," the 22-year-old said. "The goal killed them and then we saw the game out."

On the team's performance, he added: "The lads worked hard today, we knew we needed a win.
"We had the team spirit and heart to win the game and we showed we can grind games out."
Gareth Southgate's men have now lifted to second in Group B, with Italy Under-21s up next on Wednesday.
