Sean Dyche confirms "active deal" with Tottenham over Liverpool target Kieran Trippier
SEAN DYCHE says there is an "active deal" between Burnley and Tottenham over the sale of defender Kieran Trippier.
Kieran Trippier is set to join Tottenham
The Clarets had hoped to keep hold of their highly-rated player after their relegation from the Premier League last season.
But they have been unable to deter Spurs, who have beaten off a number of clubs - including Liverpool and Bournemouth - for the right to speak to the player.
Burnley's official Twitter account posted: "Sean Dyche confirms reports that @trippier2's proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur is an "active deal"."
Trippier, 24, joined Burnley from Manchester City in 2012 and helped the club gain promotion two years later.
He boasts four goals from over 150 appearances since his move but appears to have played his last game.

Burnley have already lost Danny Ings this summer after he left on a free transfer for Liverpool.
However, they can expect around £6million in compensation for the striker, who scored 11 goals in the last last term.
