Tottenham to drive up Harry Kane's asking price to deter Manchester United
TOTTENHAM are reportedly ready to do all they can to prevent Manchester United snatching Harry Kane.
Harry Kane Player Profile
Kane's stunning form for Spurs last season has attracted serious interest from the Red Devils.
31 goals was a proof in point, and Wayne Rooney is believed to have asked the United hierarchy to make a concerted effort to sign the 21-year-old.
United are thought to be lining up a £40million move to prise Kane from White Hart Lane.
But Spurs are, according to the London Evening Standard, ready to frustrate United.
They suggest the north London outfit will reward Kane with a bumper deal.
Tottenham would loathe to lose Harry Kane
As well as that, they are considering increasing his asking price to a whopping £80m.
Kane only put pen to paper on a new deal with Spurs in February.
