Romelu Lukaku coy on Everton future as he repeats Champions League ambition
ROMELU LUKAKU has refused to commit his long-term future to Everton.
The 22-year-old joined the Merseyside club for a club record £28 million from Chelsea last summer.
But the Belgian striker struggled for form at times this season as Everton finished in eleventh place.
Earlier in the year, Lukaku became a client of super-agent Mino Raiola and he claimed the forward would never have signed for Everton if he had represented him earlier and that he will not remain at the club long term.
And Lukaku, who is currently training with his national team, has acknowledged he still has four years left on his contract but admitted he wants to play in the Champions League.
Romelu Lukaku wants to play in the Champions League
He told Sky Sports News HQ: "That's the aim. Every player wants to play in the Champions League; every player wants to play at the highest level. You have to be ambitious in life.
"That's something that he (Raiola) has the right to say and I support him in that, otherwise we wouldn't be working together. He's my agent for something.
"At this moment, I am at Everton and have a four-year contract. I'm happy but you never know in football."
