Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti rules out replacing Sam Allardyce at West Ham
REAL MADRID boss has ruled out the possibility of managing West Ham as he plans to take a year off for surgery.
Carlo Ancelotti has been linked with taking charge at West Ham
The Italian is expected to be replaced by Rafa Benitez in the summer after failing to win La Liga or the Champions League this term.
The 55-year-old's potential availability has linked him with the job at West Ham after the club announced yesterday that they will not be renewing Sam Allardyce's contract.
However, the former Chelsea tactician insists he will take a year off if he is sacked by Real, putting Besiktas' Slaven Bilic at the top of the Hammers' shortlist.
I’ll stop for a year - I’ve made an appointment for surgery
“I said it at the press conference, and I can only repeat it - I’ll stop for a year,” Ancelotti said.
“I also have a very serious reason to stop, I need to have an operation for cervical stenosis [a spinal condition].
“For some time I’ve been having tingling in my hands, if I wait any longer it may spread to my legs, so I’ve made an appointment for surgery.”
