Martin Keown SLAMS 'comical stuntman' Phil Jones after hilarious Arsenal tackle
FORMER Arsenal defender Martin Keown has branded Phil Jones' defensive display against the Gunners as 'comical' and 'theatrical'.
Martin Keown called Phil Jones' performance 'comical'
The Manchester United defender struggled in the 1-1 draw and was criticised for his funny last-ditch challenge on Olivier Giroud.
The centre-back scrabbled desperately back on his hands and knees before hurtling his head at Giroud's feet to cannon the ball to safety.

And Keown feels the defender's performance was a liability and he's failed to improve his game at United, unlike Chris Smalling.
He said: "He’s trying too hard. It becomes almost comical. There’s a panic in his play.
Jones fell to the floor before crawling on his hands and knees to track back
"He’s charging around the place. He’s very theatrical, he’s almost like a stuntman.
"His instinct is to follow the ball. The manager has now met the needs of Smalling, he needs to do the same for Jones.
"They are almost competing, if they become a partnership they can progress."
Jones only just managed to make contact with the ball to prevent Giroud from scoring
