Louis van Gaal FEARS Man Utd won't qualify for Champions League
LOUIS VAN GAAL is not taking Champions League qualification for granted after admitting his club will most likely need to participate in the summer play-offs.
Louis van Gaal expresses doubt over Manchester United's Champions League hopes
The Red Devils today secured at least a top-four finish after drawing 1-1 with third-placed Arsenal at Old Trafford.
But Van Gaal seemingly doubts United's chances of overtaking Arsenal, with the Gunners sitting two-points clear with a superior goal difference and a game in hand.
Finishing fourth would leave United needing to go through a round of play-offs for Europe's elite competition, which worries Van Gaal.
We have not yet qualified for the Champions League
"We have to play in the round to qualify because we have not yet qualified for the Champions League," the Dutchman said.
"It is always stressful as you can meet opponent who is halfway through a season already. It is not so easy. I am satisfied we have set our goal and reached that.
"From what I have seen of the fans they are pleased. But I want more as manager. Next year we will fight for more."
