Job done! Man Utd to PRESS AHEAD with transfer plans after Liverpool draw with Chelsea
MANCHESTER UNITED'S transfer dealings can begin in earnest after Liverpool drew with Chelsea this afternoon, according to Phil Neville.
The result at Stamford Bridge means United would have to lose both their remaining games and see Liverpool win and overhaul a 14-goal deficit to beat the Red Devils to fourth spot.
That means United will be back in the Champions League next season just 12 months after Louis van Gaal took over at the club.
Great weekend for the Reds congratulations Louis.
And Neville believes that with top European competition secured, United will now be able to attract world-class players to the club this summer.
Neville said: "Almost job done for LvG in terms of securing Champions League football, & with that comes the power to attract some of the biggest names in world football.
"Exciting times for United!"
