EXCLUSIVE: Bournemouth eye ex-Man Utd striker Berbabtov to lead Premier League test
BOURNEMOUTH are plotting a swoop for former Manchester United and Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov following their Premier League promotion.
Dimitar Berbatov is Bournemouth's number one target
The Championship winners have drawn up a list of possible signings and Berbatov is their No1 target. The 34-year-old is currently playing for Monaco but is facing an uncertain future in the South of France.
Monaco have just been fined £9.5million for breaching UEFA financial rules and can only register a 22-man squad next season.
Berbatov, who joined the French Ligue 1 side from Fulham in January 2014, is interested in a return to the Premier League.
Cherries boss Eddie Howe has warned they will not pay huge transfer fees but they could land Berbatov for free - although the club would have to meet his wage demands, which could reach £100,000 a week.
