Liverpool held a public vote to determine their player of the year.
But cheeky Arsenal and United fans flocked to the site in numbers to vote in favour of Anfield flop Balotelli.
Mario Balotelli won't be winning Liverpool's player of the year
The campaign gained steam on social media with fans using the hashtag #VoteBalotelli to encourage others to sabotage the process.
Balotelli has been a huge disappointment since arriving from AC Milan in a £16million deal in the summer.
And Liverpool chose to remove the Italian international as an option on the website which will determine their player of the year.

Fans can still cast a vote in favour of youngsters Jordan Rossiter, Jordan Williams, Jon Flanagan and Danny Ward, some of whom have featured only sporadically this term.
But Balotelli - who has scored just four goals in 26 appearances - was removed before later being reinstated by the Anfield outfit.
