Ryan Betrand: My message to Chelsea after sealing £10m Southampton move
RYAN BERTRAND has paid tribute to Chelsea - after quitting the club.
Bertrand sealed a permanent move to Southampton on deadline day for £10million, having spent the first half of the season on loan at St Mary's.
The 25-year-old joined Chelsea in 2005 and helped win the Champions League in 2012, but failed to earn a regular place in the team.
He was farmed out on six different occasions before joining Saints last summer, but found time to thank his old club.
"Thank you to all of the @ChelseaFC family for the past 10 years," Bertrand tweeted.
Thank you to all of the @ChelseaFC family for the past 10 years. Fans supported me from day one I thank you all and will never forget it.
