Harry Redknapp's QPR face Manchester United this weekend
United spent £150million on new players last summer and look ready to splash more cash before the January transfer window shuts.
Rangers, meanwhile, parted with £28m before September on 10 new players, with 18 leaving the club on free transfers, paid deals or loans generating £8.5m.
But Redknapp insists the atmosphere at Loftus Road will level the playing field as QPR seek a first win in five games.

“They’ve spent some serious money and they’ve got a great squad of players and a top manager," Redknapp said.
“But we are at home and we’ve played very well in front of our own supporters this year.
“We’ve shown what we can do at Loftus Road and our results have been good.
“If we’d have held on to win against Swansea (City) in the last minute we’d be about where I’d expect us to be at this stage of the season.”
