EXCLUSIVE: Rotherham target Rangers' star Lewis Macleod
ROTHERHAM are set to add to Rangers’ woes by making a £1million bid for Lewis Macleod.
Rotherham are keen to sign Lewis Macleod
The ambitious English Championship club will try to land the 20-year-old when the transfer window opens next month, and will also include a number of future add-ons.
Millers boss Steve Evans has had rave reports on the creative midfielder.
Evans said: “I am aware that Lewis Macleod is one of the top young players in Scotland.
“But when it comes to speculation about transfers or bids then we, as a club, don’t or won’t comment.”
Evans knows the Light Blues are in desperate need of cash to see out the season.
Rotherham are looking to consolidate in the Championship after two consecutive promotions, and Glasgow-born Evans has cash to strengthen.
He plans to watch Macleod himself over the festive period.
Rangers are also bracing themselves for bids for Lee Wallace.
