Mario Balotelli offers APOLOGY for 'Super Mario' post
MARIO BALOTELLI has apologised on Twitter for his social media post that contained anti-Semitic language.
Mario Balotelli has apologised for his post
The Liverpool striker was today banned for one game and fined £25,000 by the FA for posting his 'Don't be racist' picture on Instagram.
Part of the post read: “jumps like a black man and grab coins like a Jew.”
He will miss Liverpool's home clash with Arsenal on Sunday unless the Reds decide to appeal the ban.
However, an appeal seems unlikely after Balotelli tweeted: "Following the recent events related to my 'Super Mario' post, the FA decision has made clear that it was wrong.
"I am sorry that my team-mates and supporters of Liverpool FC have to be penalised for something I did and now come to regret.
"It is my intention to comply with the decision of the FA and make sure it never happens again."
