Jamie Carragher says 'ruthless' owners could give Brendan Rodgers the boot
JAMIE CARRAGHER has warned that Liverpool's 'ruthless' owners could be growing impatient with Brendan Rodgers and could send him packing like Kenny Dalglish.
Carragher said if Rodgers doesn't make top four he is at risk
The former Liverpool defender said: "Brendan Rodgers is under pressure. The owners were ruthless with Kenny [Dalglish] and Roy [Hodgson].
"You go out against Bournemouth and then you have Arsenal. He was manager of the year but he has to get results."
Liverpool had a host of chances against Manchester United but both Raheem Sterling and Mario Balotelli couldn't find a way past the inspired David De Gea.

If they don't get top four then he will be under pressure
The defeat, Liverpool's seventh in 16 league matches, leaves the Reds floundering in 9th and they could slip to 10th if Tottenham get at least a point at the Liberty stadium this evening.
Carragher added: "You expect them to do well after spending that kind of money. They are looking to be in the top four but they have failed in the Champions League."
"It will be hard to catch United because they are not in Europe. Arsenal will be going for fourth as well. If they don't get top four then he will be under pressure."
