Rio Ferdinand is currently undergoing a suspension for an offensive Tweet
Leicester (18th) are away to QPR (20th) with the other club to arrive out of the Championship, Burnley, lying 19th.
"It has not been an easy baptism," said Pearson. "All three sides are fighting very hard. It will be an important game for us as it is for QPR."
Leicester have not won since their 5-3 victory over Manchester United seven games ago - and have not scored in their last five fixtures.
Pearson insists Leicester will improve [AMBIENT]
Rio Ferdinand may be unable to get in to QPR's team - but manager Harry Redknapp believes that the 36-year-old is prime managerial material.
Ferdinand is available for bottom of the table Rangers after serving his three match ban for the offensive Tweet he sent a fan last month.
Redknapp said: "Rio has nothing to prove to anybody his career has been so good.
"He is a great person to have around because he's a good professional, a good trainer, and sets a good example to everybody. He is management material one day."
