DANIEL STURRIDGE has scored 36 goals in 52 appearances since joining from Chelsea but insists the best is yet to come.
With the absence of Luis Suarez, the England international is now Liverpool's talisman, and a brand new contract reflects his value to the team.
Sturridge's contract has more than doubled from £65,000-a-week to a 5-year-deal thought to be worth a whopping £150,000-a-week.
Sturridge was thrilled to put pen to paper, and thanked the club for giving him his opportunity to fulfil his potential.

He said: "It feels great. It's a big, big day in my life to commit to this club and to give the club my best years, which are ahead of me. I am thankful for the opportunity and that is the reason I committed my future.
"I'm also grateful to the club - everyone behind the scenes who have given me the chance to be here.
"I'm used to the city now and the fans have been great with me. They've helped me to settle in and in the streets they've always been kind. Besides that, the fans, the players, the manager, everybody since I've joined this club has been great with me and I'm thankful."
