Newcastle's togetherness shows Alan Pardew is still RIGHT man for job - Dietmar Hamann
ALAN PARDEW is still the right man to turn around Newcastle's fortunes, claims former Toon midfielder Dietmar Hamann.
The Magpies produced a stirring comeback to fight back from 2-0 down to draw at home to Hull at the weekend.
Pardew has widely been fancied to become the next Premier League managerial casualty after a poor sequence of results.
But Hamann has given the beleaguered boss his support.
"Well I think Mike Ashley came out and backed him," Hamann told Express Sport.
"I hope he stays there. He's in his fifth season. When you talk about managers getting the sack or being under pressure, the most important thing is whether there is life in the team.
"There was plenty of life in the team and they came back.

"They are still pulling in the same direction. They just need a win."
Hamann believes the barracking will die down once Pardew gets a win.
He added: "They need that luck so that they can turn things around.
"They need to get a win as soon as possible and the dust will settle. The team is very talented and capable.
"The longer you go without win, the pressure builds but there is a good relationship between Pardew and the board."
