REVEALED: Why Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette snubbed Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle
ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE admits he snubbed interest in the summer because of the 'responsibility' he has at Lyon.
Lacazette was constantly linked with a move to the Premier League during the summer, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle all reportedly keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.
But, despite persistent rumours claiming a January move was on the cards, the France international agreed to extend his deal to 2018.
The forward, who has already scored three in four Ligue 1 outings this term, insists his future was never in any doubt.

To have responsibility interested me
"I was under contract, so there was never anything there," Lacazette, who progressed through the academy at Lyon, said.
"There was lots of speculation with regards to a possible transfer, but I wanted to progress in the club where I was made.
"To have responsibility interested me. I had no reasons to leave.”
