REVEALED: Chelsea starlet Christian Atsu explains why he joined Everton on loan
CHRISTIAN ATSU has revealed he joined Everton on loan after taking advice from his Chelsea team-mates.
Atsu joined the Toffees on a season-long loan last week to follow Romelu Lukaku, who swapped Stamford Bridge for Goodison Park for £28m.
The Ghana international joined the Blues last summer on a five-year deal from Portuguese club Porto before being loaned out to Eredivisie outfit Vitesse.
The 22-year-old impressed last season with five goals and six assists, and now has the chance to prove his worth in the Premier League.
“After the World Cup, when I came back to Chelsea they told me of Everton’s interest,” he said.
