The manner of the goals we lost and the performance generally were disappointing

Aberdeen were outclassed by La Liga outfit Real Sociedad, losing 2-0 in Spain, while St Johnstone lost 2-1 at home to Spartak Trnava to leave their Euro ambitions in the balance.
Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes admitted: “We were up against a level of opponent who really tested our bravery on the ball and with their movement ahead of the ball.
“The two goals were avoidable. There are a lot of frustrated boys because we thought we could come here and get a result but we have to remind ourselves that it’s only half-time in the tie.”
Saints manager Tommy Wright was realistic, but defiant, after defeat by the Slovakians.
He said: “You can’t play for 15 minutes at the start of the second half and 10 at the end and expect to beat teams like that.
“The manner of the goals we lost and the performance generally were disappointing.”
