Everton hoping Gerard Deulofeu loan can help them beat Man Utd and Saints to Adama Traore
EVERTON are hoping Gerard Deulofeu's loan spell at Goodison Park will help them beat Manchester United, Southampton and a host of Spanish sides to Barcelona starlet Adama Traore.
The 18-year-old forward is set to be loaned out this season having impressed in Barcelona's B team last term.
And reports in Spain suggest that more than half of La Liga would love to take the player on a short term deal.
Everton believe they may have the upper hand, however, and Roberto Martinez has reportedly already been in touch to remind Barcelona how Deulofeu developed last season.
Deulofeu has now been recalled to Barca and will be part of their first-team squad next season.
Everton can also offer Traore Europa League football next term, but may still be trumped if that is the deciding factor.
Indeed, Ajax are also interested in the player and could still win out if all parties think the Champions League would best aid Traore's development.
