Reports suggest that despite signing Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona this summer, Jose Mourinho is also keen to add Pogba ahead of next season.
And, according to Goal.com, Pogba could be offered a salary in excess of not only Fabregas but also other top earners Eden Hazard, Fernando Torres and John Terry to persuade him to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
It is thought that Mourinho would like to pair Pogba with Nemanja Matic as his first choice defensive midfield pairing, with Fabregas in front of the pair and Hazard out wide.
Chelsea's ability to make the huge salary offer is helped by the fact that Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole have both been offloaded this summer.
And having received £50m from PSG for David Luiz, Chelsea believe they are now in a position to make an offer to Juventus that the Italian club will find hard to resist.

In today's market, I'd fly over & headlock him to sign up!

The player - who has two years remaining on his current deal - has said that he wants to stay in Turin but an offer of around £60m could persuade Juventus to ship him out.
The news will come as a blow to both Manchester United and Arsenal, who had hoped they could be the club to bring Pogba back to England.
Indeed, former United defender Rio Ferdinand believes Pogba represents better value for money than alternative target Arturo Vidal.
In a Twitter Q&A Ferdinand was asked what he thought about Vidal and replied: "Really like him, Pogba better value for money now though..."
When confronted with the news that Juve are demanding in excess of £50m for the player, Ferdinand added: "In today's market, I'd fly over & headlock him to sign up!"
