Arsenal willing to pay £8m to land Manchester United winger Nani
ARSENAL could lose out on signing Manchester United's Nani because they are not willing to pay more than £8m for the winger.
Reports in Portugal suggest that the Gunners are interested in the 27-year-old, who has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
It has been suggested that Nani could be used as a makeweight in any deal sending Thomas Vermaelen to United.
Vermaelen has since denied that there is any truth to the rumours that he could be Old Trafford-bound.

Arsenal wanted Nani in exchange for Thomas Vermaelen
But Arsenal have retained an interest in Nani and are reportedly willing to spend up to £8m to keep the player in the Premier League.
However, both Inter Milan and Juventus have a long-standing interest in the former Sporting Lisbon star and are willing to spend up to £12m to take him to Serie A.
It now remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger is willing to up his offer to land Nani - who scored for Portugal against USA last night - or whether the the enigmatic player decides to continue his career on the continent.
