Chelsea's Didier Drogba hopes dashed! Juventus strike a deal for Ivorian striker
JUVENTUS have agreed a deal with Didier Drogba ruling out an emotional return to Stamford Bridge for the Ivorian striker.
Jose Mourinho had been exploring the possibility of bringing back the popular striker with a view to him starting his coaching career while playing for the club.
However Tuttosport report that the Old Lady have settled on a two-year contract for the 36-year-old.
Drogba left Chelsea on a high in 2012 after winning the Champions League title. He moved to China for a short spell at Shanghai Shenhua before spending a season at Galatasaray where he notched 15 goals in 37 games.
Juventus comfortably won the Serie A last season under the management of Antonio Conte and are making serious moves in the transfer market ahead of a tilt at the Champions League.
