Luke Shaw told Saints he wants Man Utd move on last day of season
LUKE SHAW told Southampton of his desire to join Manchester United - not Chelsea - on the final day of the Premier League season.
Saints drew 1-1 with United on 11 May at St Mary's, with Shaw facing the team he wants to play for next season.
Chelsea are also interested in the 18-year-old but it appears he has his heart set on a switch to Old Trafford.
According to the BBC, Shaw told the Saints' hierarchy he wanted to join United at an event held at a hotel after the last game of the campaign.
And by that time, United had already lodged a £27million for the talented left-back.
However, Southampton are insistent they will not lose any more star players until their manager is announced - despite Rickie Lambert's £4m move to Liverpool.
Captain Adam Lallana is also wanted by the Reds, who have been quoted £30m for his services.
