Cheers Hugo! Christian Eriksen thanks Lloris for saving his penalty blushes
CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN was pleased with his performance during Tottenham's win over Fulham - but had to thank Hugo Lloris for saving his penalty blushes.
Eriksen fizzed in two dangerous free-kicks which produced goals for Spurs in their 3-1 victory.
The Dane's crosses were converted by Paulinho and Younes Kaboul, while Harry Kane added a third.
But Eriksen was sweating when he gave away a penalty in the second half, but Steve Sidwell could not score a second of the afternoon past Lloris.
"I was a little bit nervous but luckily Hugo made the save," Eriksen told BT Sport.
"We have to thank him for what he did in this win today, and all season."
On his assists, Eriksen added: "(I wanted to hit them) hard enough, with enough pace to be difficult for defenders.
"The first was just a cross, the second I really went for goal but it was lucky."
