The Colombia international, who was close to signing for Serie A giants Juventus during the winter transfer window, has been a target for Premier League trio Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham since last summer.
But now the 27-year-old midfielder has poured cold water on any move away from the San Siro by claiming he would stay at Inter for the rest of his career if he could.
He said: "After what happened with the proposed move [to Juventus], I had to work more, because supporters are expecting a lot from me.

"The recent experience taught me a lot and if the contract is ready, I will sign it.
"Should Erick Thohir (Inter president) offer me the chance to sign for life with Inter, then I would.
"Mr Thohir has said that I am important and that I must give my heart to the team."
