Lacina Traore is set for another spell on the sidelines [PA]
Traore pulled out of the clash with Chelsea - which Everton lost 1-0 - after reporting a problem in his hamstring.
But Martinez is confident that the 6ft 8in forward will be back in action sooner rather than later.
"Obviously with this sort of injury it is normally weeks rather than months," Martinez said.
"The type of player Lacina is, a sprinter, means these sort of injuries need to be well recovered."

Traore joined Everton on loan in January, but only made his debut on February 16 due to an existing hamstring injury in the other leg.
The 23-year-old scored FOUR minutes into his first Toffees start in the 3-1 win over Swansea, and is now likely to be out until mid-March.
However, Martinez has been boosted by the return to fitness of Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku had been out injured since Everton's Merseyside humbling at the hands of Liverpool, but would have returned against the Blues but he was ineligible.
