Tony Pulis has yet to hold talks with Marouane Chamakh over a contract extension [GETTY]
Paul Lambert is thought to be a keen admirer of the Moroccan, especially with Christian Benteke struggling to replicate his stunning form of last season.
Though Palace have only managed 15 goals in 16 games under Pulis, Chamakh has sparked the Eagles' recent revival and has hit six goals this term.
With several players entering the final six months of their contract, Pulis is confident he can keep the likes of Chamakh out of Villa's grasp.
"I haven't spoken to Marouane [Chamakh]. We have a few players out of contract at the end of the season," Pulis said.

"I'm determined that it will get sorted out though.
"I haven't spoken to any players about contract extensions. Marouane has shown with his work off the ball that he is enjoying his football and that's all I want from him."
Chamakh joined Palace from Arsenal on a one-year deal last summer.
