The on-loan striker made it two goals in four starts with a brave diving header but struck a penalty straight at keeper David Forde 12 minutes from time.
Trotters boss Dougie Freedman said: “Not only did we miss the penalty, it energised the crowd and they were the better side in the last 15 minutes.”
Martyn Woolford’s 81st-minute lifesaver for the Lions saw him follow up a Simeone Jackson effort and net from a tight angle.
Ian Holloway felt Millwall should have had two penalties.
He said: “No-one likes us and I don’t care but I do really because it’s fairness.”
