The Dutchman saw his goal-bound header cannon back of the bar after an acrobatic save from Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Szczesny had also safely gathered an early effort from Van Persie after the striker had found himself one-on-one with the Polish shot-stopper.

Van Persie wrote: "Enjoying good lunch with my bro Vida."
