The Ligue 1 giants spent €64.5m last summer to secure the service's of Cavani from Serie A outfit Napoli and he has since found the back of the net on 20 occasions for the club.
And with Chelsea's lack of consistency up-front, there have been question marks over whether Mourinho will look to bring in a forward to solve that problem.
But the Blues boss has distanced himself from rumours surrounding Cavani.
When asked if Cavani was a summer target, Mourinho said: "No. In this moment we are trying to sign nobody. I have no idea."

Demba Ba has only scored for the Londoners three times this season, with Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto'o both bagging ten.
