Manchester United fans pay their respects to the victims of the Munich air disaster [Steve Allen]
Former players and United fans paid tribute to the Busy Babes whose lives were taken on February 6, 1958.
Flags were raised at half-mast as a mark of respect while supporters and staff gathered under the Munich clock at the East Stand to sing the song 'Flowers of Manchester'.
Twenty three people died in total when United were returning from a European Cup tie against Red Star Belgrade.

United's current crop of players also joined forces to pay their respects.
Ashley Young posted a picture of Busby's Babes on his Facebook page, which was accompanied by the message: "Remembering the Busby Babes and those who lost their lives in the Munich Air Disaster. Never forget #flowersofmanchester."
Rio Ferdinand followed suit, with a tribute that included newspaper cuttings from the tragedy: "RIP to all those in the Munich air disaster. We have tried and continue to try to add and to enhance the history that you are a part of. #flowersofmanchester #mufc."
