Pulis admitted that he tried to sign Ledley from Celtic during his time at Potters [GETTY]
Palace signed both Dann and Ledley during the January transfer window - from Blackburn and Celtic respectively - in a bid to avoid the Premier League drop zone come the end of the season.
Wayne Hennessey and Tom Ince (loan) were the other two pieces of business during the window, but Pulis has admitted that he had targetted the former pair before he parted ways with the Potters.

"Two of the players that we’ve brought in - Scott Dann and Joe [Ledley] - were players that I tried to sign at Stoke.
"They’re players I’ve always admired.
"Joe’s a very versatile player, he can play anywhere on the left-hand side; he can play inside, he can play wide, he can play left-back and do a job there as well.

"He's got good qualities and I really like him as a player and as a person as well, he’s a very good lad.
"So two of the four players we’ve signed were targets when I was at my former club.
Pulis also went on to claim that the loan deal with Blackpool to bring in Ince - who rejected the likes of Liverpool and Swansea - was a coup for a club of Palace's stature, but admitted that it was also a chance for the young attacker to prove himself on the big stage.
"We're very pleased that Tom's picked us.
"We're hoping that we can give him the opportunity to show what a good player he is."
