The defender switched to St Andrew's on transfer deadline day on a deal until the end of the season and made his debut for the Midlands outfit in the 3-3 stalemate against high-flying Derby.

But Thorpe lasted only 15 minutes of the match before having to leave the field on a stretcher, adding to Blues' defensive worries after the loan recalls of Kyle Bartley and Dan Burn.
The 21-year-old hasn't been given a return date, but the medical staff at United are to keep City updated on his progress.
Boss Lee Clark told the club's official website: "We're devastated for him.
"He's a terrific kid and we were absolutely delighted to get someone of his quality. Manchester United rate him so highly and he's been a brilliant lad."
