Pedro has always stated he is happy at Barca and his contract that runs until 2016 and buyout clause of £125m could prove obstacles to a move.
But the player's desire to play a prominent role for Spain at next summer's World Cup means he may be willing to look elsewhere if he can't be guaranteed greater opportunities under Gerardo Martino.
It now remains to be seen whether Arsenal or Liverpool look to take advantage of Pedro's conundrum with the prospect of a loan move possibly appealing to all parties.
