Roberto Soldado has struggled to live up to expectations so far at Tottenham [PA]
Soldado joined Spurs for £26million this summer after earning a reputation as a prolific finisher with Valencia.
However, the 28-year-old has managed just six goals in 15 appearances so far this season, with only one strike in the Premier League coming from open play.
Soldado admits his general form has not been up to scratch - with three of his four league efforts coming from the penalty spot - but he has vowed to do better for Andre Villas-Boas' side.

Asked if he had found the back of the net as often as he would have liked, Soldado told The Daily Telegraph: "No. Definitely not. Much less. A lot of my goals have come from the penalty spot.
"I want to score more goals than I am doing at the moment. That is why they signed me. I have been doing it all my career," he said.
"I haven't done so far here, but I am convinced I will get there."
