Norwich shot stopper John Ruddy has no regrets over rejecting Chelsea
NORWICH shot stopper John Ruddy admits he was flattered to be targeted by Chelsea but has no regrets over his decision to stay at Carrow Road.
The England international was the subject of mooting speculation in the summer but Norwich apparently turned down a £6m bid from the Blues for his services.
Norwich kept Chelsea at bay and managed to retain the services of their No1 shot stopper.
"The club didn't get an offer they deemed acceptable," Ruddy told the Pink Un.
"I was flattered by the interest and I thank Chelsea and (Jose) Mourinho for that - and the level of interest they showed as well.
"But it wasn't to be. It was all sorted fairly early doors before we started pre-season, so I was ready to get my head down and work hard for Norwich, and to try and maintain my performances that I had last year."
