Yeovil 0 - Reading 1: Adam Le Fondre steals show
A CONTROVERSIAL Adam Le Fondre penalty 13 minutes from time earned Reading their first win in five games.
Le Fondre had been anonymous in the contest until he went down under a challenge from Yeovil right-back Luke Ayling.
Referee Trevor Kettle pointed to the spot, and Le Fondre scored his third goal of the season to send the Glovers to their fourth straight league defeat.
It is a welcome three points after what has been a difficult week
Frustrated Yeovil boss Gary Johnson said: “I saw the penalty decision differently to the referee – we deserved an awful lot more than what we got today.’’
Reading manager Nigel Adkins, whose side were beaten 6-0 in the League Cup by Peterborough, said: “It is a welcome three points after what has been a difficult week.’’
