David Villa to assess future in summer amid Tottenham interest
BARCELONA striker David Villa has revealed he will consider his next move after this summer's Confederations Cup, with Tottenham interested in signing him.
Villa has been regularly linked a move away from the Nou Camp in recent months, as he struggled to secure a first-team spot in Tito Vilanova's side.
And Spain's all-time record goalscorer has refused to commit his future to Barcelona, after Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas spoke of his admiration for the ex-Valencia star.
Arsenal were thought to be in talks with the La Liga champions in January over a deal for Villa, and he has opened the door to the possibility of leaving the Catalan Club after his international duties are finished for the season.
"I always try to think of the present," said Villa. "I will go to the Confederations Cup and try to play a good role there.
"We'll need to analyse many things during the summer and then we'll see.
"Right now I'm not thinking about anything else than playing football."
