Aleksander Dragovic's keen to follow in Manchester United's Nemanja Vidic's footsteps
MANCHESTER UNITED are weighing up a summer move for highly-rated FC Basel defender Aleksander Dragovic.
The 22-year-old has already attracted attention from Everton, who as we reported recently, were in pole position to snaffle him.
Added to that, Dragovic also said that he has been given the lowdown on what the Premier League is like by compatriot, Andreas Weimann.
Though Rio Ferdinand is expecting to sign a new one-year deal with the Premier League champions, United are still looking to strengthen their back line.
It seems now that Dragovic has eyes for Manchester United.
In an interview with Italian paper Tutto Mercato Web, Dragovic said: "My goal is to play in England.
"I hope to retrace the steps and the career of my model Nemanja Vidic of Manchester United."
Dragovic played a key role in FC Basel's Europa League run to the quarter-finals where they were knocked out by eventual winners Chelsea.
