Anderson fury at red card
ABERDEEN captain Russell Anderson has asked boss Craig Brown to appeal his red card against Inverness.
The experienced defender is adamant he played the ball and didn’t foul substitute Shane Sutherland for the penalty that led to Caley Thistle’s goal, scored by Richie Foran.
Dons boss Craig Brown refused to comment about referee George Salmond’s decision after the 1-1 draw.
He has discussed the incident with Anderson and will now wait to see the highlights before he decides whether or not to appeal – which would cost Aberdeen £1,000 although they would get the cash back if the decision was overturned.
Jags boss Terry Butcher believes it was a penalty and a sending off, although he was also critical of the referee for the sending off of Owain Tudur Jones.
Meanwhile, James McFadden has made it clear that he has no intention of moving to Aberdeen.

The out-of-contract star has been courted by the Dons but he would prefer a move south after turning down Motherwell.
Also there is no chance of Brown getting any money from the Pittodrie board as he over-spent the wage budget by bringing in Mark Reynolds and then paying off Michael Paton.
