Brendan Rodgers agrees deal to become new Liverpool boss
BRENDAN RODGERS has reportedly signed a three-year deal to become the new Liverpool manager.
The northern Irishman spent the day in talks with the Anfield side, having yesterday told Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins that he wished to leave the South Wales club.
Rodgers initially rebuffed an approach from Liverpool but changed his mind after cutting short a holiday to America earlier this week.
The 39-year-old will be replacing Kenny Dalglish at Anfield, after the Liverpool legend was sacked at the end of the season despite winning the Carling Cup.
Roberto Martinez had also held talks with the Merseysiders, but it now appears that he will be left with a choice between staying with Wigan or considering Aston Villa's interest.
