Inside Liam Rosenior's marriage to American wife and why Chelsea boss is staying in hotel
Liam Rosenior has had to make sacrifices in his private life to make it to the position of Chelsea boss.

Liam Rosenior is set to return to his former club as his Chelsea team face Hull City. The Blues travel to the MKM Stadium for an FA Cup fourth-round fixture on Friday evening.
The former full-back played for the Tigers between 2010 and 2015 and managed the club from late 2022 to mid 2024, being sacked at the end of the 2023/24 campaign after missing out on the Championship play-offs. Despite this, Rosenior is expected to receive a warm reception from the home supporters on Friday.
He was named Chelsea head coach in early January following an impressive 18-month spell in charge of their sister club Strasbourg in Ligue 1. The 41-year-old signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with the west London club.
Supporting him throughout has been his wife, Erika (née Quinones), with whom he shares four children. They're reportedly based at their family home in Derbyshire, although the pair lived separately after Rosenior accepted the Strasbourg position, while Erika and the children stayed in England. However, he made regular trips home to visit his family during international breaks.
Their personal life remains somewhat of a mystery but it is understood that his wife is American. The couple married in a stunning waterside ceremony before partying at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes.

The former Hull City boss admitted in late January that he was still living in a hotel room several weeks after his Chelsea appointment. He faced Charlton in the previous round of the FA Cup only two days after his first training session and has overseen 10 fixtures in total, securing seven victories and suffering two defeats.
Rosenior revealed that, owing to the relentless fixture list, he had yet to find the time to move into a permanent home and he and his staff were staying in the hotel. He said: "I haven’t even looked at a house, I’m in a hotel!
"I’m in a hotel with Kalifa [Cisse], Justin [Walker] and Ben [Warner], getting Uber Eats at times rather than the hotel food, and just watching football and enjoying and sleeping, making sure we manage our energy."

He added: "I’m lucky because the job that I do is my passion. I think if you enjoy what you do, you don’t burn out."
Speaking about facing the Tigers, Rosenior said: "For me, Hull City is very special. My grandma was a season ticket-holder. I've got my family coming up. The club means a lot to me for many reasons.
"Hopefully, we can put on a really good show. I want to do well in this competition. I don't see it any different to a Premier League or Champions League game. We will go there with a team I think can win the game. We will take it seriously."
